Achte gut auf diesen Tag,
denn er ist das Leben -
Take good care of the day,
for it is life -
das Leben allen Lebens.
the lives of all life.
In seinem kurzen Ablauf liegt alle seine
Wirklichkeit und Wahrheit des Daseins,
In its brief course lies all his
Reality and truth of existence,
die Wonne des Wachsens,
the bliss of growth,
die Größe der Tat,
the glory of power.
die Herrlichkeit der Kraft.

Denn das Gestern ist nichts als ein Traum
For this is nothing but a dream yesterday
und das Morgen nur eine Vision.
and tomorrow only a vision.
Das Heute jedoch, recht gelebt,
That day, however, quite lived
macht jedes Gestern
makes every yesterday
zu einem Traum voller Glück
a dream of happiness
und jedes Morgen
zu einer Vision voller Hoffnung.

Darum achte gut auf diesen Tag.
