PBIS

 Positive Behavioral Intervention & Supports

“The link between families and positive behavioral interventions and supports is an important one. When families are meaningfully involved in educational activities their children do better in schools. Families play an important part in their child's education and social development.” (http://www.pbis.org/family)

PBIS

A team effort between school, parents, and students

A team-based process for creating proactive, educative and functional support systems used in the development of effective interventions for problem behavior.

Aim is to build effective environments in which positive behavior is more effective than problem behavior.
