PURPOSE AND
FEATURES OF 2
ANIMATION PRODUCTS
Choose products yourselves to investigate, such
as computer games, computer-animated film clips,
digitally animated music videos and product-design
animations.
At least 1 has to be 3D and both should be
different.
Animation 1 - pass
• Purpose of the animation.
• Features including file type and size, length, quality, any
details of any special effects, e.g. motion blur/fade,
rendering effects, morphing and/or camera angles.
• Use the worksheet on features on the VLE to help.
• Try to discuss as many of the above features as possible
Animation 1 - merit
• Is it fit for purpose?
• Intended effect on the audience.
• This is a review and needs to be in detail.
Animation 1 - distinction
• Strengths and weaknesses of both animations.
Animation 2 - pass
• Purpose of the animation.
