Gender Spectrum
“The Gender Spectrum” refers to the
idea that there are many gender
identities (female, male, transgender,
two-spirit, etc.). It also acknowledges
that there is a range of gender
expressions, or ways in which people
externally communicate their gender
identity to others through behavior,
clothing, haircut, voice, and other
forms of presentation. Gender
expression may or may not conform to
common expectations around one’s
