How can I create cool effects?
• Change the background: right click on the
background of the slide.
• Click on the pull down menu box. You can
change the color of the background,
search for more colors or add “Fill effects”
(which are very cool!)
Create Fill Effects
• You’re still in the background menu right?
Click on “Fill effects”
• From here you can change the gradient
(two or more colors blending into each
other, like the background of this show)
• You can also change the texture, pattern
or even add a picture (Oh yeah! That’s
sounds cool! Let’s do that.)
Add a picture to the background
• Find a picture you like. This can be from
clip art, or an image you find online. If you
find it online, right click to save a copy.
Umm…It’s kind of hard to read that last
slide.
• You’re right. There are a couple things we can
do about that.
• We can change the fill of the text boxes to
make them stand out more. Let’s see if that
helps.
Ahh…much better
• Hey…you have quite a few slides, but I
only have one. How can I add slides?
• Click on the “Insert” tab above. Select
“new slide”
• Cool. Thanks.
Hey, this slide show is boring.
Can you animate it?
• Sure. Let’s add some animated transitions
between slides and their elements.
• Right click on the part you want to
animate.
• Click “Custom animation” From here you
can add all kinds of effects.
That’s cool, but I want animation
from slide to slide.
• Ok. Easy enough.
• Click on the “slide show” tab. Select
“Animation schemes.”
• This is where you can apply animation to
the slide transitions in your show.
• If you want to get really fancy, you can try
the “Custom animation” schemes. (But
don’t waste too much time on this.)
I want to add pictures
• Ok. We can do that. I think.
• There are two ways to add pictures:
pictures from clip art or pictures from files.
• Let’s try it.
