ภาวะโรคอ้ วน คือ ภาวะที่ร่างกายมีการสะสมไขมัน
ส่วนเกินมากเกินไป ในสุนขั ที่จดั ว่าเป็ นโรคอ้ วนต้ องมีคะแนน
รูปร่าง หรื อ เรี ยกว่า Body condition score อยูท่ ี่ระดับ
5 ใน 5 การบ่งชี ้ว่าสัตว์มีปัญหาโรคอ้ วน
สาเหตุของโรคอ้ วน
• primary cause metabolism at Liver
• secondary cause Adrenal gland , Thyroid gland , endocrine
pancreas , Lipemia

Male Bangkreaw intact 8 years old, 49 Kg
Previous history:
BCS= 5/5
On dermatology treatment of thyroid supplement but was off it for a year
On insulin 2 year ago for a month; insulin shock so discontinue insulin
supplement
Chief Complaint:
Non weight bearing both hind limb.
No neuro deficit on examination
PU/PD
Polyphagia
Physical examination:
Depress and responsiveness panting, lung sound crackle
alopecia potted belly

Xray examination
• Increase density at perihilar area
• VHS 12.5 (normal : 8.5-10.5)
• Enlarged liver
• Calculi at renal pelvis (right)
Ultrasound examination
• Heterogenous parenchyma with diffuse white steak throughout the
liver : possibly marked fatty liver.
• Gall sludge without shadow and bile duct dilation.
• Increase calcified appearance at right renal pelvis ; possibly renal
calculi.
• Enlarged heterogenous parenchyma of both prostate gland without
vacuole
