What is HealthWatch?
• A new service, set up by the Government
• Starting on 2nd April 2013
• Replacing Local Involvement Networks, or
LINKs
• Nationally, HealthWatch England
• Plus each local authority area has a local
HealthWatch

Your Local HealthWatch.
We will;
• help people share their views and concerns
about health & social care in York
• provide information and signposting
• signpost people to independent complaints
advocacy

What will happen to LINks
HealthWatch York will take on much of their
work, such as;
• promoting patient and public involvement
• seeking peoples’ views on services
• having the right to enter and view services
• commenting on changes to local services
