Epistemic-Political Stance

Migration is the dynamics of knowledge in
the move, as transfer is its kinematics.
• Migrants cross boundaries and need to resituate themselves in a community or in a
society
• In this process knowledge is the most
precious resource.
In
crossing
physical
and
cultural
boundaries, knowledge is used in order to
empower a group in a social space, to gain a
more central position in discourse, even to
claim the right to set the boundaries of the
collective. Simultaneously, in the local
heterogeneous field agents will also use
migrants and their knowledge to strengthen
or promote tendencies that are perceived as
more favourable or necessary for their
society.
