Policies & Procedures
Enter Classroom
• Line up outside room in number order until
instructed to enter by me
• Quietly enter room
• Unpack schoolbag
• Hang schoolbag on hook
• Place lunchbox in place
• Sit quietly at your seat with your Take Home Folder
on your desk
• Wait for me to ask for any notes/money
Get Attention
• Give me Five (hand in air)
• “Goodness Gracious, Great Balls of
Fire!!”
–Student stops what they are doing
–Eyes on teacher, Ears open
–FREEZE
Leave Classroom
• Teacher will call students by table to line
up
• ALWAYS line up in number order
• Line Leader is in front of line
• Caboose is the last person
• Electrician turns off the lights
Student Numbers
• Class Number (1-22)
• Table Number (1-4)
• Desk Number (1-5)
Bathroom
• Teacher will call students by table to
go to the bathroom once in the
morning & once in the afternoon
• Students are expected to go to the
bathroom during recess
• Student must notify teacher of an
emergency
Water
• Students are allowed to get water
without asking teacher
• Students are not allowed to get water
during direct teaching time
• Teacher will call tables to get water
after recess
• No water bottles are allowed in the
classroom
Pencils
• Students are not allowed to sharpen
pencils during class
• Sharp/Not Sharp buckets
• Pencil Sharpener Job
• Can use own sharpener if not
disruptive
Mailboxes
• Each student has their own mailbox
with name & #
• Homework & important notes will be
placed in mailbox
• STUDENT RESPONSIBILITY to
check mailbox each day before
leaving
“I’m finished, now what?”
• Finish any other unfinished work
• Read silently
• Write in journal
Pack Up/Stack Up

Copy homework from board
Color behavior bone
Check mailbox
Pack schoolbag (don’t forget Take Home
Folder/lunch box)
Stack chair
Clean up around floors
Sit quietly on carpet
Wait for buses to be called. FREEZE UNTIL BUSES
HAVE BEEN CALLED TWICE.
Organization
• Stay organized
• Have a clean desk/school bag
• Listen to instructions on where to put
things
• Keep classroom cleaned
Responsibility
• STUDENT RESPONSIBILITY
• No longer parent’s responsibility
• Getting ready for middle school
