 Registered with Eligibility Center
 Added to team’s Institutional Request List (IRL)
 Please inform compliance of the prospects that will be
receiving written offers of aid.
Please provide us with any current letters that you
use for written offers of aid in order for the
language of the letter to be approved.
NLI – Unofficial Signings
Any fake NLI documents must be
sent from the compliance office.
Scholarship Renewals
 Due June 1st
 Can obtain document from website or compliance
office.
Summer Storage
 Student-athletes in need of storing items in the area
over the summer should refer to the following website:
http://www1.villanova.edu/villanova/studentlife/reslife/housing/storage.html
 If on campus in summer school, you may store extra
items in South Campus trailers. Need to contact
Residence Life.
Breast Cancer Awareness Uniforms
 Permissible:
 Wearing a warm-up t-shirt that is pink with a breast
cancer awareness logo (i.e. Pink Ribbon)
 Wearing a pink uniform (as long as specific sport
uniform regulations deem it permissible)
 Impermissible:
 Wearing a uniform/sneakers/cleats/headband with a
breast cancer awareness logo along with normal sponsor
logo (i.e. Nike symbol)

Currently requires a waiver in order to wear during a game
Counting Days
 During defined championship or nonchampionship
segment, each day counts excluding:
 Required days off (1 day per week)
 Official vacation, holiday and final-exam periods when
no practice or competition occurs
 This does not apply to basketball or football.
 Baseball and softball are not affected by this during
their nonchampionship segment.
Counting Days - Example
For example:
 When two days are given off (free of any countable
athletically related activities) in one week during a
championship or nonchampionship segment, one
of the days will still count towards the team’s
playing season.
Specifically:
 If Golf provided two days off during either their nonchampionship or
championship segment, six of the seven days would still count towards
the 144-day maximum.
Official Visits - Reminder
 Paying for flights
 A PSA may not be reimbursed by the institution for
payment of his or her own flight for an official visit.
 An institution may purchase a plane ticket for a PSA
coming to campus on an official visit.
 If PSA and his or her parents want to be on the same
flight, Jen Burns can take the credit card number of the
parents to pay for their flight or the parents can pay from
themselves.
 Please remember that you are only allowed to pay for the
PSA’s flight.
Official Visits - Reminder
 Hotel stays on the night prior to the official visit.
 PSA can stay in a hotel the night before the start of an
official visit without starting the visit (under the
discretion of compliance)
 Any in-room entertainment (i.e. purchasing a movie) or
room service cannot be paid by the institution

In the event that a PSA does purchase those items, they must
pay for them and proof of payment must be demonstrated
 The official visit will have begun if a PSA stays at the
Villanova Conference Center

Villanova Conference Center is considered on-campus facility
Question?
 The baseball coaches at Ocean State College are
planning their summer recruiting trips. There are a
couple of situations where an assistant coach would
like to go straight from his recruiting trip to a family
vacation site and then on to the next recruiting trip.
Is this permissible or does the coach have to return
to campus before he can resume off-campus
recruiting activities?
Answer
The coach does not have to return to campus in
order to be replaced as a permissible off-campus
recruiter.
 With the adoption of NCAA Proposal 2010-21, a coach
replaced for purposes of off-campus recruiting
activities is not required to return to campus before
engaging in additional recruiting activities provided
no more than the permissible number of off-campus
recruiters in a particular sport engage in recruiting
activities each day. (June, July, August only)
Have a great day!
