Local Admin Requests
The Instructions for Local Admin Account Privileges
1. Faculty through the Department Chair\Dean submits an eQuest requesting local admin privileges to UITS. ***Note*** Select “Information Security” as service type.
***Special Note*** Include specifics as to the need of admin privileges such as research software for installation, job function necessity etc.
2. ISO will review and notify the faculty member and Department Chair\Dean via eQuest of approval or denial with explanation.
3. After the approval, the Desktop Tech will set up the local admin account and have Local Admin User Agreement signed by the faculty member and Department Chair\Dean.
4. Approximately 60 faculty members currently have local admin privileges to aid in their research.
