The ability of users of telecommunications services to
retain, at the same location, existing telecommunications
numbers, without impairment of quality, reliability, or
convenience when switching from one telecommunications
carrier to another.

cancel up to 8pm on the LSR due date

Port of Incorrect Number
Issue:

Valid LSR received with correct telephone number, but
transposed or additional numbers are ported that do not
appear on the LSR.
Impact:



Qwest has disconnected a different number than the CLEC.
Qwest has not set triggers for the additional numbers ported,
end user service is effected.
Qwest continues to bill the additional numbers until notified
of duplicate billing.

Port Confusion by End-User



Clear direction is required for the end-user.
If the end-user is disconnected prior to the port
request, they are not port eligible.
If Retail processes disconnect, then port activity
is undisclosed.
