New Vision Goals for Student Success Align secondary and postsecondary curricula to reduce remediation and help prepare students for postsecondary success. Provide students, especially underrepresented, low-income and first-generation college aspiring students, with detailed and immediate, online diagnostic feedback and academic interventions to reduce remediation: “What should I study, what am I missing?” Allow States and Institutions for the first time to develop individualized student intervention plans, aligned to the Common Core Standards, that focus on specific sub-content areas that require improvement. See your proctor to update your information. Students enter the remediation tool. Click on the Learning Path. Students will see a personalized Learning Path showing where they need extra practice. They determine which module they want to work on first; reading, writing or math. Within each module are a series of topics. The student can: …work through the activities for the module topics that include: …reading… …writing… …videos… …animations… …practice assignments… …with immediate feedback. Multiple Learning Modules to Help Student Learn the Concept, Practice, Build Confidence and Receive Guided Feedback Specific to EACH Student And the assignments include a variety of learning aids for justin-time help. As students complete each topic, their progress shows on the learning path. (stars = mastery, pencils = work to achieve mastery) Students can demonstrate topic mastery by taking a post-test with a mastery score or achieving a mastery score on all activities.
