How to reset your Mijn ING password
(Internet Banking)
How it works
Resetting your Mijn ING (My ING) password is a straightforward task, which can
easily be done online. This manual shows you the steps to be taken.
Step 1:
What you will need
To reset your password, you will need:
• your Mijn ING username;
• the mobile phone on which you receive your TAN codes.
Navigate to www.ing.nl and click the ‘Inloggen’ (Log in) button.
Step 2:
Choose the reset
functionality
Once you have clicked the ‘Inloggen’ (Log in) button, a new screen will open.
Click ‘Nieuw wachtwoord en/of gebruikersnaam aanvragen’ (Request a new password and/or
username).
Step 3:
Enter your details
Once you have clicked ‘Nieuw wachtwoord en/of gebruikersnaam aanvragen’ (Request a new
password and/or username), a new screen will open, in which you are asked to enter the
following details:
• your Mijn ING username (‘Gebruikersnaam’);
• your account number (‘Rekeningnummer (IBAN)’);
• your date of birth (‘Geboortedatum’).
Once you have entered your personal details, click ‘Doorgaan’ (Continue).
Step 4:
Reset your password for
Mijn ING
Once you have clicked ‘Doorgaan’ (Continue), a new screen will open, in which you are asked to
enter your new password (‘Nieuw wachtwoord’).
Your password needs to contain a minimum of 8 and a maximum of 20 characters. It should
contain at least 1 capital letter, 1 lower-case letter and 1 number. Reconfirm the password by
entering it again in the ‘Bevestig nieuw wachtwoord’ (Confirm new password) field. Once you
have entered your new password, click ‘Bevestig met TAN-code’ (Confirm with TAN code).
Step 5:
Confirm your new
password
Once you have clicked ‘Bevestig met TAN-code’ (Confirm with TAN code), you will receive a text
message on your mobile phone, stating both a 3-digit serial number and a 6-digit TAN code.
Enter the TAN code on your computer.
• Make sure that the serial number (‘Volgnummer’) shown on screen is the same as the
number in the text message;
• Enter the TAN code in the ‘TAN-code’ box and click ‘Verzenden’ (Send).
You have now reset your password and can use it immediately.
