Username should not give away information such as name or birthdate Be extra carful with strangers All you know is what your friends profile tells you Have parents involved Don’t answer unknown people or messages Tell someone If you are feeling hurt or bad let a teacher or parent know Protect your password 5. do not tell anyone your passwords and keep them in a safe place Be nice Internet Safety Questions What should I do if a stranger messages me? Tell a teacher or grown up so they can block or ignore the stranger Delete an email if you do not know the sender How can I be safe on the internet? Never share information on a site until you ask a parent or teacher Password or username should not contain name or birthday or give out your address, phone number, what school you go to, or your picture How can you keep your computer safe? Don’t download anything until you ask a parent first Your computer can get a virus that way Have a strong password Long Contains both numbers and letters Does not have your name My pledge or safety promise At the beginning of the year students can sign a pledge or make a promise to be safe on the internet.
