How to reset your Mijn ING username
(Internet Banking)
How it works
Requesting your Mijn ING (My ING) username is a straightforward task, which can
easily be done online. This manual shows you the steps to be taken.
Step 1:
What you will need
To reset your username, you will need:
• your ING debit card;
• the mobile phone on which you receive your TAN codes.
Navigate to www.ing.nl and click the ‘Inloggen’ (Log in) button.
Step 2:
Choose the reset
functionality
Once you have clicked the ‘Inloggen’ (Log in) button, a new screen will open.
Click ‘Nieuw wachtwoord en/of gebruikersnaam aanvragen’ (Request a new password and/or
username).
Step 3:
Request new username
Once you have clicked ‘Nieuw wachtwoord en/of gebruikersnaam aanvragen’ (Request a new
password and/or username), a new screen will open.
On this screen, you need to click ‘Gebruikersnaam opnieuw aanvragen’ (Request username again).
Step 4:
Selecting private
individual
On the new screen that opens, select ‘Particulier’ (Private individual) and click ‘Doorgaan’
(Continue).
Step 5:
Enter your details (1)
On the new screen that opens, you will be asked to enter the following details:
• your account number (‘Rekeningnummer (IBAN)’);
• your date of birth (‘Geboortedatum’).
Next, click ‘Doorgaan’ (Continue).
Step 6:
Enter your details (2)
On the new screen that opens, you will be asked to enter the following details:
• your card number (‘Pasnummer’);
• the expiry date (‘Geldig t/m’).
Both details are printed on your debit card. Next, click ‘Doorgaan’ (Continue).
Step 7:
Confirm username
request
Once you have clicked ‘Doorgaan’ (Continue), a new screen will open, asking you to confirm
that you want to receive your username by post at your home address. Click ‘Doorgaan’
(Continue) to confirm.
Step 8:
Confirmation that your
request was successful
Once you have clicked ‘Doorgaan’ (Continue) a new screen will open, stating that your request
has been received successfully.
A letter containing your username will be sent to your home address within approximately
5 working days.
