Your guide to entering and submitting
your time on the Web

Log into URSA: https://ursa.unco.edu/cp/home/displaylogin
University Aid? Or Student Hourly?
a. Univ Aid: CLICK on Employee Tab
then CLICK on the Banner Self Service folder under the Banner SS Module; then Employee Folder and then Timesheet
a. Student Hourly: Click on Financial Tab
then CLICK on the link in the center module that says “Time Entry for Student Employees”
Select the pay period you are entering time for – That pay period must be open to enter time on it
Click on the Timesheet
Click on the Blue words “Enter Hours” under the day you need to enter time on.
DO NOT CHANGE THE SHIFT!! All hours are entered in Shift 1
Hours must rounded to the Quarter hour! (Samples are at the top of your Time Entry Page)
Save each days hours you enter and proceed to the next day.
To see the next week click on NEXT
If you have hours that you worked outside these dates on the timesheet you will need to enter them on the 2nd line called
“Retro Current Year”. Use the Comment tab to note what these hours are for
Click Submit – A yellow triangle will appear with a notice that it was submitted sucessfully
If you need to pull your timesheet back to correct it and it is still prior to the Submit Date/Time then open your
Timesheet and click on Return Time; this puts it back into your queue to Change and Submit again
Submitted hours go to your supervisor to approve. Once your Supervisor approves them they are sent to Payroll.
You are paid Semi monthly; on the 15th and the last working day of the month. If the Payday falls on a weekend you will be paid on the
Friday before. 1-15th pays on the last working day and the 16-30(31st) pays on the 15th of the following month.

Click on Banner Self Service Folder
Then Employee Folder
Then Timesheet
Click on Financial Tab
Then click on “Time Entry for Student Emp”
Located in the middle Channel
This will take you directly to your Job selection

If you have several jobs make
sure you click on the circle by
the job you want to enter time
on

Then choose the pay period in
which you want to enter hours
on. Use the Drop down arrow
to find the pay period.
NOTE: there could be two pay
periods open for a brief time.

Then Click the “Time Sheet”

How to Enter your Hours
• If you use Straight Time your Timesheet will look like this:
If You Use “Time In and Out”
Your Timesheet will look like this:
Time is entered in 00:00 format – meaning you need to enter 4 numbers each time and
round to the quarter hour.
Click Save
Do NOT change the Shift! All hours need to be entered in Shift 1!!
Need To Correct your TIMESHEET?
If you have submitted your timesheet and you need to correct it If the Time period is still open for entry you can open the Timesheet
and click on “Return Time”; this puts it back in your queue to
correct and then Submit again.
