• Schedule testing for your post-high school plans

Where will you continue your education?

University
• What colleges are looking for:
• Rigorous courses
• GPA
• Test scores (SAT/ACT)
• School Activities – Athletics, Clubs, Leadership
• Outside Involvement – Volunteering, activities
Keep your resume updated with these activities.
University Testing Requirements
• SAT and/or ACT
• SAT Subject Tests (depending on college/major)
• SAT Test Dates
• May 7 (deadline to register – April 8)
• June 4 (deadline to register – May 5)
• ACT Test Dates
• April 9 (deadline to register – March 4)
• June 11 (deadline to register – May 6)
Some scholarships require you to take one of these tests
before the end of your junior year.
Community Colleges & Technical Schools
• Take courses that give you a solid foundation
• Many programs are competitive – apply early
• Take the placement test
• Accuplacer or Compass
• Contact Admission Office for details
• Portfolio, Interview, etc…
Military
• Meet with recruiters (third Wednesday of every month)
• Consider taking ROTC
• Schedule ASVAB testing – available twice a year on campus
• March 24 – sign up in Career Center
• Continue taking rigorous classes – Math & Science
Apprenticeship
• On the job training
• Continue taking courses to prepare you for field of interest
• Placement Testing
• Visit website to research available programs ( page 12 - On Track)

Workforce
• Take courses that will give you skills you will need
• Read through all of the programs and elective
offerings to find courses that will prepare you
• Practice punctuality
• Build your resume
• Collect letters of recommendation that identify your
strength as a worker
Graduation Status
• Review your Credit Check
• Remember to account for current classes still in
progress
• Look for empty boxes on your credit check – all must
be filled in before you can graduate

• Review “Other Grad Requirements” box – these
must all be met to graduate:
• Testing
• Washington State History
• Career Credits
• High School & Beyond Plan

Senior Registration
• Your completed registration form will need to be turned in
for a grade during PACK
• You must have at least 5 classes each semester to be eligible
to participate in the graduation ceremony
• Senior Requirements:
• Literature
• If you have not met standard on the ELA exam, you will be
placed in a course to help you meet this requirement

• Comparative Government + CWP or Social Studies Elective
• AP Government
• Comparative Government + AP Macro Economics
• AP European History + Comparative Government
Senior Registration
• Math
• The Class of 2017 must complete through Advanced Algebra
• If you are planning to attend a 4-year university, you must take
math or a math-based lab science during your senior year
• If you have not met standard on the Math EOC exam, you will
be placed in a course to help you meet this requirement

• Algebra-based sciences: Chemistry, Physics, Astronomy
• If you have not met standard on the Biology EOC exam, you will
be placed in a course to help you meet this requirement
• Check to see you have other requirements completed.

• Advanced Placement Courses
• College in the High School Courses
• Running Start Program
• Tech Prep Courses
• West Sound Technical Skills Center
Registering for Courses
• You can begin entering your selections online
• We will return next Monday (B-day) & Tuesday (A-day) to take
you to the computer lab during US History classes
• Make sure you sign up for alternates
• Return your form to your Pack Advisor – this is a Pack
requirement!
