New Transfer Station funded by private

Operating Expense per Passenger Trip (2013)
Santa Fe College (SF)-RTS Partnership
History of SF-RTS Partnership:
10 years SF expressed desire to
Improve transit service to campus
Establish transportation fee similar to UF to fund
enhanced transit service.
Governor Scott signed Bill 2150 May 26, 2011
Allowed SF to implement fee by student government
referendum not to exceed $6/credit hour.
SF Student Government approved $3/fee.
SF-RTS Partnership
Facts and Figures FY 2015:
SF-RTS meet annually to discuss service needs
and determine budget and credit hour fee.
SF provides funding for 8 Routes
Routes 10, 23, 27 39, 43, 62, 76 and 77
$856,624 SF funds for RTS operating costs.
SF contribution includes grant revenue
reduction and supplemental expenses for AVL
provision and fare box recovery capture.
RTS – Academic Partnerships
RTS and the City of Gainesville would be very
different if 20 years ago UF had decided to
exhaust existing resources instead of
supporting and enhancing local transit.
The RTS-UF Partnership “primed the pump”
for future economic growth, increased
transportation options and encouraged
sustainability initiatives.
