Past Perfect
El pluscuamperfecto or Past Perfect is used to
described a past action completed before another
past action.

El pluscuamperfecto is also used to express
actions or events that had never occurred until a
certain time in the past when they finally
happened
• Nunca había ido a Brasil hasta el verano
pasado.
(I had never been to Brasil until last summer (when I
went there.)
Como el presente perfecto, el pluscuamperfecto es un
tiempo compuest que necesita dos verbos: el imperfecto
de haber + participio pasado
