Slide 1

She says:
Now I am in the first grade in
vocational high school. This is the
first time I study with boys. Oh, boy!
They are aliens! I think boys don’t
show their emotions. They might be
happy. They might be angry. But who
knows? …

Slide 2

…They do not talk about feelings.
They are only excited about sports.
They always jump and shout. We
girls are different. We share the ups
and downs in our lives. We shop
together. We reveal secrets to each
other.

Slide 3

I think boys are shy. One boy at
school really likes my friend, Jill. He
looks at her all day. He follows her. But
he does not talk to her. When she
smiles at him, he turns red and looks
away. He acts like a sad, little puppy.
Boys are very strange.

Slide 4

He says:
This is my first year in a co-ed
school. Gosh! Are girls from another
planet? I think they are from the
planet “Talk-a-lot.” All day long they
just talk. They talk about clothes.
They talk about singers and movie
stars. They EVEN talk about us! …

Slide 5

… My buddies and I
are excited about
basketball. We play
online games. We go
out and have fun
together. We DO things.
But girls just TALK
about things. That’s
ridiculous!

Slide 6

Girls are also emotional. They
enjoy stupid love stories. They cry
about sad movies. But they still
love to watch them! They also cry
when someone is mean to them,
even just about some tiny little
things! …

Slide 7

… I think they just want to make
everyone pay attention to them, but
it’s really nonsense! They can’t
control their feelings well. It’s their
business. But they don’t have the
right to drive everyone mad! I’m
glad I’m not a girl!

Slide 8

I say:

Boys feel that girls are strange,
and girls feel the same about boys. So
what can they do? Well, I say they can
hate each other and hit each other. Or,
they can try to understand each other
and love each other. What do you say?

Cultural Note

Slide 23

Slide 24

(John F.
Kennedy)
(Jacqueline Kennedy)。
(Aristotle Onassis)。
(Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis)。

Slide 25

Slide 26

Slide 27

Slide 28

Slide 29

Slide 30

Slide 31

Slide 32

Slide 33
