Skillsoft Resources for Professional Development
A Short Tutorial on Accessing Web-Based Modules
As a Daytona State College employee, you have access to a
wide variety of high quality, interactive web-based training
modules that can be accessed from any computer. This
short tutorial provides instruction on how to access these
resources including a link to the Skillsoft web page on the
final slide.
Course Categories Include:

Getting started is easy! The hyperlink on the final slide
will bring you to the Skillsoft Sign In page. To enter the
site, use your Daytona State E-mail address as the
Username and CARS ID number as your password.

Once you have successfully signed in, you can view
the available courses in each Skillsoft library. Click a
library to see the course selection. The Business
Skills Library has the majority of course offerings.
Select Browse Library
Select the skill set you are interested in developing. In
this example, the Leadership competency is explored.
Select Course Group
Select the subgroup that interests you. In this example,
we selected the general Leadership subgroup.
Leadership Essentials and Motivating Others provide
different sets of courses. Click Launch to begin your
course.
To start the learning experience, click the Begin Course at
the bottom of the frame. You do not need to complete
the course in one sitting! The tool will allow you to break
between sections and continue at your convenience.
Course completions will be recorded automatically.
