Thank you to all our colleagues who prioritised their applications for these

Development
Programmes
programmes at pace.
We have informed leadership leads for each organisation which of their applicants have
secured places and offer letters will be going out to applicants this week. All applicants
for the Jenner and Mary Seacole Programmes who met the criteria have secured places.
Those not allocated a place on the Elizabeth Garrett Anderson and Bevan programmes
are on a waiting list and we are investigating other funding options - to fund our
current waiting list we need to find £1.2 million so it may take a little time...

Nursing and
Midwifery Programme
Dates for the next cohorts of the popular Nursing and
Midwifery programmes for the next 18 months are due
out this week. We have 21 people currently awaiting
places on the Frontline programme so they should hear
from us next week. We still have 9 places for Senior
Operational leaders/aspiring Nurse Directors.

Model.
Progress is being made designing this and we have
copied the latest draft to Leadership leads for
comments. If anyone else would like to review it,
please let me have your feedback and/or questions by
16 August and i will feed them in.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to the Leadership 2020 Consultation. The regional
Leadership Council have used this to create a draft regional Leadership and OD strategy and
this has been reviewed by the LETB Board. This is now attached for sanity checking
. Please let me have any comments or questions by Friday 23 August. Feel free to share it
with any of your colleagues who might make a useful contribution.
We will be looking at the funding model needed to underpin this at a Regional Leadership
Council workshop on 15 October between 130 and 430pm in Sheffield. Please let me know if
you are interested in contributing to this.

A number of workshops or strategic conversations are currently being planned with strategic OD and service transformation
colleagues across the region. If you are interested in participating in any of these, please contact

• Short programme being developed to help strategic practitioners to support INTEGRATION across health and social care
services
• RESILIENCE – workshop planned for 14 October looking t how we address this in our OD and transformation programmes
and strategies
• Creating Cultures of TRANSPARENCY AND OPENNESS– we are hoping to invite CQC and others to join us for an exploration
of dilemmas and strategies
