NAWBO Houston Strategic Alliances
Kelly Stallings
STRATEGIC ALLIANCES
The goal in developing local Strategic Alliances is to develop increased awareness and exposure of the NAWBO Houston Chapter.
Alliances are developed with organizations focused on goals similar to NAWBO. Typically these organizations have women business owners as members and/or board members.
STRATEGIC ALLIANCES
An MOU signing is scheduled to kick off the strategic alliance at a NAWBO luncheon. The Strategic Alliance agreement states that member rates are reciprocated for members between organizations.
Cross promotion and participation in each organization's events is also a standard in the agreement.
Additional items are included in the agreement according to what makes sense for cross promotion and mutual support.
STRATEGIC ALLIANCES
Developing numerous strategic alliances during 2010-2011 board year has resulted in increased event attendance, new member conversion, and a general 'buzz' about NAWBO in Houston.
The Immediate Past President is responsible for managing the relationships with Strategic Alliances. A focus on developing relationships with alliance leadership will assist in strengthening the alliance.
