“All staff are invited to attend a press conference and celebration to recognize South Texas
Health System’s dedication to increasing awareness about organ and tissue donation.”
“South Texas Health System is one of nine hospitals in the entire state and among a select
group in the nation to be given this distinguished recognition from the U.S. Department of
Health and Human Services. The Workplace Partnership for Life campaign is a special
effort to mobilize the nation’s hospitals to increase the number of people in the country
who are registered organ, eye, and tissue donors. The campaign unites donation advocates
at hospitals with representatives from their organ procurement organizations, Donate Life
America affiliates, and state and regional hospital associations. Working together, the
teams leverage their communications resources and outreach efforts to most effectively
spread word of the critical need for donors.”
“If you haven’t already done so, please register yourself on www.donatelifetexas.org. We
will have representatives available at the event Wednesday if you wish to speak with
someone about becoming an organ donor. “
