Text
On you’re blank canvas there will
be two text boxes, one asking you
to add a title and another to add
text, both of these can be moved
around by clicking on the border.
They can both be resized by
clicking on any of the white
circles on the corners. The boxes
can be rotated by clicking on the
green circle and dragging left or
right.
You can use these two boxes
or choose to delete them and
create your own using the
text box on your bottom
toolbar.

Pictures
In order to put a picture into your
presentation you simply click on
Insert and scroll down to pictures.
From here you have several
options:
Clip Art - Clip art is a large library
of free images you can use through
out your presentation.
From File… - This allows you to
put a picture that you have saved
on your computer into your
presentation.
Word Art - Word art allows you to
make cool headings for your power
point.
Slide Design and Layout
The slide design tab can be
found in the upper right portion of
your screen near the end of your
toolbar.
Clicking the design tab will
bring up a new panel on the
right side of your screen that
looks like this.
With this new panel you can choose a
template for your Power Point,
templates will vary on which version of
Power Point you are running.

Slide Design and Layout 2
To access the slide layout
panel either right click and
select Slide Layout or
simply click the Right
Arrow at the top of the
slide design panel.
Slide layout allows you to
select templates for
individual slides. This is
good for a tricky slide with
a lot of content on it.

Slide Transition
To get to Slide Transition click
on the Slide Show tab and
scroll down to Slide Transition.
On this panel you will notice
that there are many transitions to
choose from, they can help make
your Power Point more
professional looking and keep
people’s attention.
Here you can adjust when the
current slide changes, you can set
all the slides to be the same, or
do each individually
Animation
To get to the Animation
schemes panel click on Slide
Show and scroll down to
Animation Schemes.
There are many different animations to
choose from, clicking on one of them will give
you an example of what it looks like. This
type of animation cannot be applied to
individual words in a text box, in order to do
this you must use custom animation.

Custom Animation
To get to Custom Animation, click on
the Slide Show tab and scroll down to
Custom Animation.
In Custom Animation you can apply animation to nearly
anything on your Power Point. Click on Add Effect and choose
either a entrance animation for a cool entrance, and emphasis
animation for something that is already displayed, or an exit
animation to make it leave the presentation.
You can even change the trigger that causes your animation to
happen, the default trigger is On Mouse Click but it can be changed
to with or after the previous animation as well.

Audio
Adding audio to your Power Point
is a great way to catch and hold
people’s attention. To add audio
click on the Insert tab and scroll
down to Movies and Sounds.
Select Sound from File,
this allows you to add
songs to your Power Point
that are already saved on
your computer.
