「日本研究」是甚麽？
無論從經濟、政治、抑或文化角度探討，只要按
照一定的研究方法進行，而對象是「日本」，就
是「日本研究」；「日本研究」乃眾多地域研究
(Area Studies) 裏面其中一個項目。
Area Studies 本身鼓勵跨越傳統學問領域約束
( interdisciplinary approach ) 探討問題。是一種「強
調多角度探討」，包容性相當高的新思維。
（例： 「日美貿易摩擦」 既是經濟問題，也内含
政治外交，甚至文化等元素。）

Out of 150 submissions for the Professional
category, Prof. Nakano’s “Unmarried
Women in Shanghai, Hong Kong and
Tokyo” was selected as one of the best 4
submissions by the University of California

Press / Public Anthropology Competition

政府工變避風港
 公 務 員 事 務 局 發 言 人 表 示 ， 去 年 有 11900
名 求 職 者 爭 逐 31 個 政 務 主 任 空 缺 ， 今 年
人 數 升 至 13000 人 ， 升 幅 約 8.5% 。 至 於 約
150 個 二 級 行 政 主 任 的 職 位 ， 今 年 則 有
18000 人 應 徵 ， 也 較 去 年 16000 人 為 多 。 二
級 行 政 主 任 的 起 薪 點 約 2.3 萬 元 。
雖 然 月 薪 3.6 萬 元 的 政 務 主 任 ， 較 港 府 早
前 招 聘 月 薪 10 多 萬 元 的 政 治 助 理 失 色 ，
但比較私人市場仍明顯存在優勢。中原
人力資源顧問董事周綺萍表示，政務主
任一職相等於大機構的見習經理
（ Management Trainee ） ， 對 求 職 者 吸 引 力 較
大；再加上近期金融海嘯下，私人機構
出現結業裁員潮，政府工自然成為職場
避風港。

