Accessing your
MSJC E-mail
For Associate Faculty

What is Web Mail?
• Web Mail allows access to your MSJC e-mail
through the Internet
anytime and anywhere…
All you need is:
– An Internet connection
– Web Browser (Internet Explorer 6.0 or higher)
E-mail Account Procedure
• E-mail accounts are created for new Associate Faculty
automatically at the beginning of each semester
– You are considered new if you did not teach the previous semester
• Web Mail instructions will be sent to your home address prior
to the beginning of the semester (new associate faculty only)
– The instructions will include your username and temporary
password
• If you are not teaching at the beginning of a semester (with the
exception of Summer), your e-mail account will be deleted
• Returning instructors (who taught the previous semester) will
use their existing e-mail account with no disruption
Naming Convention & Password
• Your username is the first letter of your first name,
followed by your last name
– Exception: If your username already exist, the naming
convention will be the first 2 letters of your first name, followed
by your last name
• Your temporary password is the same as your
username
• After logging on for the first time, you will be
prompted to change your temporary password to
one of your choosing
Your Mailbox Folders
Your mailbox will contain the following folders to help you
manage your time and communication:
• Inbox
• Calendar
• Contacts
• Deleted Items
• Outbox
• Sent Items
Help with Mailbox Features
Click the question mark on the Outlook Bar for
help with features in the current window.

Open an Internet Browser
Go to: http://access.msjc.edu
Click on the “Web-Mail” link
Click “Associate Faculty Web Mail
Instructions”
• Print the instructions
• You will need the username and password
that was provided to you to log in
