Write down 5 things you remember about
Napoleon’s Reign of France.
This will be a record review
Map Invasion
For this vocabulary activity, you are going to
be in a group
When you get into your group, you’ll be given
a vocabulary word and a strip of paper
On your strip of paper, you are going to write
the word and draw a picture that you think
represents that word
The best of these from all classes will be put up
on the word wall
For this activity, we will create a timeline of the end of the
French Revolution and Napoleonic Wars
You will be in a group of 3 and given a white piece of paper.
Your group will be assigned an event from the time we are
discussion
You will either get
Reign of Terror
Napoleon Expands
Peninsular War
Exile and Waterloo
Napoleon takes power
Blockade of Britain
Invasion of Russia
Effects of Napoleon
On your paper, you and your group need to:
1.) Create a picture that represents your event (should be
large enough to cover most of the page)
2.) Have at least a 2 sentenced description of your event and
what happened
3.) If there is a date for your event, this needs to be included
When we are all done, we will share what we created and
then assemble them on the wall in order so that we have a
timeline of the Napoleonic Wars
What were three key mistakes that Napoleon
made that lead to his down fall?
How did Napoleon cause nationalism to
spread throughout Europe?
For this activity students will make profiles of French
leaders: Louis XVI, Maximillian Robespierre, and
Napoleon.
Each profile will include:
The leaders name
A description of the type of leader that the leader was.
A description of what France was like while it was
under this leader.
A picture that represents that particular leader.
This could be a foldable or a piece of paper divided into
three sections .
After you have finished with the Leadership
profiles activity you should make flash cards of
All vocabulary words that you have not made
flash cards for.
Write out the vocabulary term on one side pf the
card and draw a picture that is associated with the
vocabulary word.
On the other side of the card write the definition of
the vocabulary word

powerful army, and a liberal constitution
Austria and Prussia were the largest and most

Appointed Otto von Bismarck, as prime
minister
Bismarck eventually took full control of

Austria and Prussia defeat Denmark and take land
Bismarck created border conflicts to get Austria to
declare war on Prussia. Prussia wins and takes more land
Bismarck changed wording of Ems Telegram to make it
appear Wilhelm I insulted French ambassador to Prussia,
published new telegram to media. France declares war
Seven Weeks War
French were provoked to declare war as Bismarck hoped
After the defeat of France, German unification was
complete
Leaders wanted to unify people because of
nationalism
Count Camillo di Cavour led unification in
Northern Italian states
Giuseppe Garibaldi, captured Sicily in the
south and united the Southern States
Cavour persuaded Garibaldi to unite Italy
under 1 nation in 1860

leader of the unification movement, (Bismark, Cavour
or Garibaldi)
You will be writing a letter to your people explaining
how the Germanic or Italian nations have been unified.
this letter should also explain nationalism and how it
worked.
Journal entries should have:
Entry should be at least 2 paragraphs long.
Show how Germany or Italy unified
Should include elements of Nationalism somewhere in
letter
