Update on CB21 – Prior to Transfer

• The Chancellor’s Office began accepting the Master Course File updates on March 1, 2010.

• All data submissions and resubmissions must reflect the new CB21, new CB22 and TOP Code changes.

• A conference call with the district staff responsible for CB21 changes can be beneficial in dealing with edit errors.

Common Problems:

1. Correction vs. New Control Number 2. Active and Inactive, effect of changes on history 3. TOP Code

A noncredit course with a TOP code listed in the CB21 coding instructions

may have a code of Y if the course is

coded as basic skills and the course is not in a sequence.

• Ready for Summer 2010 submission • Must use the test site before production site • Process will flow from submission to reports • Existing reports will be evaluated • Many of the analysis reports to the data mart

Expand SX05 (Enrollment-Positive-Attendance-Hours) and XF07 (Session-Total-Hours) to 9999V9. An additional SF21(Student Aid Award Type) SO - Osher Scholarship Accounting Method = ‘W’ is not valid for an intersession (XB01 – Section Accounting Method)

When to use the DR grade: Weekly/Daily Census – On/after first census date and before withdraw grade Positive Attendance – Before a grade is assigned
