Concept
The introduction of a SCM Red Tape Reduction Award within the SCMnetwork will be a new way of highlighting the agenda as well as best
practice and innovative administrative burden reductions for businesses.
When
The idea is to grant the award on a yearly basis. The first time will be at the
SCM-meeting in Poland at the end of September 2007.
How
Each country within the SCM network and the Commission can present up
to three nominations per year. The nominations must be submitted before
September 1 to the SCM Simplification Group who will select the winner.
The award committee will attach importance to the following criteria:
The initiative must have had significant real effect for businesses
The initiative must have been implemented within the last two years
The initiative should be easily applicable for other members
Note: It is not a prerequisite that the initiative has been quantified.
In order to submit a nomination, we enclose a template which will also be
available on www.administrative-burdens.com.
The winner
The winner will receive an award along with a front page article on the SCM
website. Other proposals will also be published on the website in order to
optimize the sharing of our experiences.
