On the Romanian sector Danube is divided in two parts according to the navigation clearance: 1. River Danube (km. 1,075 – km.175) - sector with retention regime (km. 1,075 – km. 863) Waterway width 180 m. Waterway depth 3.5 m. - sector with free flows (km. 863 – km. 175) Waterway width 150 - 180 m. Waterway depth 2.5 m. ROMANIAN DANUBE SECTOR - Maritime Danube (km. 175 – Nm. 0) - Danube (km.175 – Nm. 34.75) Waterway width 150 - 180 m. Waterway depth 7.32 m. - Sulina Canal (Nm. 34.75 – Nm. 0) Waterway width 60 m.
