Our Goal for Students

• The Great Body Shop K-12 program
• 10 units of study include:
• Safety, body systems, nutrition, social and

prevention, illness prevention, environment
and consumer health, and fitness
TECHNOLOGY/LIBRARY
• Computer lab 30 minutes per week –Basic
computer skills
• Power Point and LCD projector in every
classroom
• Library once a week – check out books
that are kept in the classroom
• Laptop cart and iPads for the school
• iPads for 1st grade (grant)
• Any obsolete technology is greatly
appreciated!
MUSIC / P.E./Art
• Music every other week with a music
teacher
• P.E twice a week
*make sure your child wears tennis shoes and
comfortable clothing.
*children should be wearing tennis shoes everyday
for playground safety at recess and lunch
• Arts Advantage lessons
HOMEWORK
• Homework posted each Friday
• Homework is due every Friday
• Plan on spending 20-30 minutes per
night – building responsibility, not
frustration
• Check your child’s work!!!!
***Most important: Read each night with
your child!
Math Homework
•Math Homework will be sent home
weekly for the first unit
•Please do not go ahead as those
concepts have not been taught in class
yet
•Please turn in math homework or
signed pacing guide on the due date
