Part of Decatur Public Schools new “summer
school” model
2 ½ hour program, repeated for a morning
group and an afternoon group
Will reach 250 youth in 4 weeks this summer

Camp includes 6, 20 minute
activities:

Measuring
Snack
Budgeting
Community Service

Campers are in 4 groups
that rotate through the
stations
Teen leaders serve as
group leaders or as
station leaders
University of Illinois
Pathways Project
Study on positive youth development to understand
how young people develop skills in youth programs,
and transfer these skills to other parts of their lives.
