All EEE will be in the scope after transition periods
CEMEP current position on UPS: need to be compliant by 2019
But… there are differences in implementing legal requirements in
each member state
• mostly consumer products (1Ph plug in UPSs) can already be
interpreted to be in RoHS scope for some countries
• Transition periods vary in countries/customers
• Most Eaton 1ph are RoHS compliant and all new products will be
compliant

REACH status in PQD products

REACH consists in an inventory of SVHC (Substances of Very High
Concern): we have to verify if our products have those substances
above threshold limits
So far SVHC substances above threshold limit might be discovered
in EATON 9130 and EATON 9140
New substances added every six months
No compliance certificates can be done for REACH: we only have to
communicate to customer the information if we have SVHC above
threshold
