NHS REFORM PROPOSES THAT
‘We will put patients at the heart of the NHS, through an
information revolution and greater choice and control.’
‘We will build on the current role of LINks by turning them
into local HealthWatch – a ‘citizens’ advice bureau’ for
health and social care.’
Local Authorities will commission Healthwatch to become a
local consumer champion across Health and Social Care
ensuring increased choice and a stronger patient voice
