What’s the situation?
Windows Server 2003 End of Support
On 14 July 2015 Microsoft will end support for Windows Server 2003 and will no longer provide
automatic fixes, updates, or online technical assistance. Companies of all sizes need to migrate—
or face potential issues.
Rising costs to operate
Windows Server 2003
and the workloads and
applications
Lower performance
and reliability
Vulnerability to security
threats and downtime
• If something goes wrong it
stays wrong unless you can fix
it yourself.
• Security patches and hotfixes
will no longer be available
• New demands and advances
have left this OS far behind
2
• If you are regulated (SOX,
HIPAA, HITECH, etc.),
compliance will become a
major issue
