INPO AP-929, Rev. 1
• Draft developed by INPO at the request of the
CMBG Steering Committee
• Draft dated May 2003 never issued
• Draft really deals with modification process and
some design basis; not a configuration
management process
• Steering Committee and INPO have agreed to
work together to develop the revision that
describes a configuration management process
INPO AP-929, Rev. 1
Approach
• Establish scope of the document
• 80/20 rule – several members of the group
will be asked to work on the document and
meet for 2 days to develop the best
document in that time frame
• Make it consistent with ANSI/NIRMA
CM 1.0-2000
• Start with new process model (IDEF0)
INPO AP-929, Rev. 1
Standard Nuclear Performance Model
(IAEA same)
• Evaluate problem or request
• Consider whether a design change is required
• If no, then consider whether a plant change is
required
• If no, then consider whether a FCI change is
required
• Or, do nothing more and document decision
