• Public party with traditional music and theatre in
Quito (Ecuador)
• Events for doctors, patients, families and press in
Salvador de Bahia, as well as conference-talks at
public hospitals in Fortaleza, Argentina,
• Street parade and patining on bare feet in
Medellín, Manizales y Cali (Colombia).
• Awareness walk in Fortaleza (Brasil), Quito (Ecuador)
and Panamá.

• Information stands for the distribution of
informative material and medical advice in
the city center in Porto Alegre (Brazil) in Rio
de Janeiro (Brazil)
• Delivery of free information at bus stops in

open air, in front of the beach in Puerto Rico
• Inline skating in group in Buenos Aires and

IDEAS FROM THE WORKSHOSP
ABOUT WPD FROM 2nd MEETING
OF LATINAPSO (May 2010)
• All Associations said to have taken advantage of
the ideas gathered at the Brainstorming sessionat
the 2nd Meeting of LATINAPSO
• Some Associations copied the slogans, other the
ideas for urban actions (balloons, awareness
walks) or activities for children
• To be remarked: all Associations are aware of the
need of effectively communicate their message,
adapting it depending on the public (patients,
doctos, industry, media, etc.)

CHALLENGES FOR WPD 2011
• Associations point as challenges for next
year:
– Professional training for actions with governments
(petitions, etc.)
– Having lager budget for more urban actions
– Interactive workshop for media at 3rd Meeting of
Latinapso
– Strategy of communication at Latinapso on the
whole region
– Begin in 2010 to prepare the WPD 2011
