Acceptable Use Policy
Middle School Students show
responsibility by using school
district’s resources to:
 locate material to aid learning.
 Search on the Internet
 learn through interpersonal
communications.
 research.
 collaborate.
 store Work in a Folder on the District’s
server.
Students show responsibility by:
 monitoring his/her computer account
and all activity within that account.
 not sharing his/her password OR
using someone else’s password.
 logging off after each session.
 not using obscene or offensive
language.
 keeping all inappropriate material
from entering the school network.
Students show responsibility by:
 avoiding use of network resources, including
printers, to harass, offend, or annoy others.
 adhereing to current copyright and privacy
laws.
 using the network to meet educational
needs.
 not impersonating or misrepresenting other
users on the network.
 not deleting, altering or erasing files,
records, or programs.
Students show responsibility by never using the
Internet or World Wide Web:
 to search for topics not approved by the
teacher.
 to download, copy, or store any software
product.
 to sell, purchase or advertise anything.
 to enter chat rooms or to access
inappropriate material.
 to enter personal information (including
name, address, phone number, email
address, or screen name.)
 to play online games.
