1.1.2 UMAMS curriculum, instruction, assessment and instructional

Study evaluations from the training to develop a plan to further a culture

Principal to join Community of Caring task force.

Study climate survey to develop a plan moving forward.

UMASD students are provided with instruction that is designed to meet
individual student learning needs, learning styles, interests, and
employ culturally sensitive and responsive practices in an effort to
maximize student learning for every student.

Continue to employ a combination of school-based teams (data teams,
student assistance teams, child study teams, DVMSA) to collect and
analyze intersecting data and research in order to personalize
instruction and create a culturally responsive learning environment
(alignment to 1.3.1)
a.
Data teams and the PASS team meet weekly to analyze data in
order to personalize instruction and to provide support for all
students.
b.
Teachers and counselors document data analysis through Team
Guidelines.

Valley Minority Student Achievement Gap Consortium

UMASD employs research-based programs to ensure intervention
and extension opportunities for all students.

Teachers will document Individual Student Plans on Google docs as
a method of intervention for at-risk students.

UMASD employ a balanced assessment plan that includes common
assessments, benchmark testes, end of year exams, regular
formative and summative assessments.

Continue to publish an annual assessment plan which includes
summative assessments to be used by schools to monitor progress
in science.
a.
Examine science, curriculum, scores and standards for realignment of curriculum and instruction.

UMASD continuously analyzes student performance on state
assessments. PSSA/Keystones to assess strengths and weakness for
all students in mathematics, reading, science, and writing as well as to
set targets for improvement (Alignment to 1.4.2)

All schools will continue to employ a combination of school-based
teams (data teams, student assistance teams, child study teams,

close the achievement gap between student groups as well as the gap
