Eid Ul Adha is the Festival of the Sacrifice
This festival remembers the Prophet Ibrahim’s
(A.S) willingness to sacrifice his son Ismail (A.S)
when ALLAH ordered him.
The time for Salat-ul-Eid starts when the sun
rises
Muslims offer Two Rak’ahs prayer of Eid on
open places or in Mosque.
Its special feature is the sacrifice of animals like
goat, sheep and camel etc. in the way of Allah after
Salat-ul-Eid.
Meat of sacrificed animal is divided into
three parts.
1- For poors
2-For relatives and friends
3-For your ownself
Eid ul Adha is a three day celebration
Everyone wears new clothes - in bright
colours and many have beautiful
embroideries.
- Yummy sweets and desserts are then
eaten to mark the occasion
Eid cards, gifts and money are often
exchanged
Friends and families like to get together
on Eid to celebrate the special day/s
