What a pity that youth must be
wasted on the young.
-George Bernard Shaw
When The London Times invited
several eminent authors to write
essays on the theme "What's
Wrong with the World?"
Chesterton's contribution took
the form of a letter:

I am.
Sincerely yours,

"If there is an exception to every rule, then
every rule must have at least one exception,
the exception to this one being that it has no
exception."

It seems like you can replace any component of a ship, and
it will still be the same ship. So you can replace them all, or
one at a time, and it will still be the same ship. But then
you can take all the original pieces, and assemble them into
a ship. That, too, is the same ship you started with.
Paradox Example
• “There are two tragedies in the world, one
is not getting what you want, and the
other is getting what you want.”
-Oscar Wilde
Paradox Example
“The reasonable man adapts himself to the world.
The unreasonable man persists in trying to adapt
the world to himself. Therefore, all progress
depends on the unreasonable man.”
-George Bernard Shaw
