is located in Harju
County 15 km from
Estonian capital
Tallinn
The total area is 158
sq. km
We have around 4700
inhabitants

parish is surrounded by Jõelähtme in
the North, by Anija in the east, by Kose in
the south and by Rae parish in the west
 The first records about Raasiku
Municipality made in the Danish
assessment register Liber Census Dania
date back to 1241.
 Raasiku Municipality was re-established
on 12 March 1992.

have 13
villages and the
main ones are
Aruküla (1987
inhabitants) and
Raasiku (1304
inhabitants)

We have 3 schools:
 Aruküla Primary School – 240 pupils
 Raasiku Primary School – 138 pupils
 Pikavere Kindergarden/Primary School- 51

Being involved in culture
and hobby activities has
kept people in touch with
the past. In the parish
there
have
been
continuously practicing
choirs, drama and folkdancegroups. The best of
them
have
always
participated
in
the
country-wide song and
dance festivals.
