A: I want to further my study in navigation.
I will be a visiting scholar for one year.
I want to travel in the U.S.A. I want to see Grand
Canyon, Yellowstone Park, Liberty Statue…


A: I will take courses in fishery.
I will conduct research in microelectronics.
I will visit my relatives and travel in the U.S.
Q: How do you know this
university/professor?
A: I get the information from the internet.
Our department has established
research cooperation with this university.
 Q: What is the exchange program like?
A: We send out exchange visitors, share
our resources, learn from each other,
and conduct research together.

Q: What do you do in China?
A: I teach at the Arts Department at Jimei
University. The courses I teach include
microelectronics, animal nutrition, arts
design, painting, etc.
Q: Why does the university pick you to be on
this program?
A: I am the leading researcher in my
department. I have obtained several
academic and research awards recently. I
have a lot of publications in my research

Yes, I am traveling by myself. / I am traveling
with my wife/husband.
 Have you ever been abroad?
Yes, I have been traveling to other countries.
But this is the first time I go to U.S.
 Do you have any relatives in America?
Yes, I have a cousin. She lives in New Jersy. I
will visit her and stay at her house.

Who will be your sponsor?
I have a fellowship from the Chinese
government. The Chinese government will
provide me with funding for the work, living
and traveling expenses.


-No food is allowed to bring to a foreign

Chinese grocery stores have a lot to offer.
-Bring some medicine if you need.
-Exchange the currency （换外币）. Be prepared
to do a lot of shopping in U.S.! Brand names品
