As Transport Management Center (TMC) Operations Manager you will provide logistics customer service and customer relationship management for internal ABB customers in a fast pace, high stress environment, providing internal and external performance reporting and metrics for both our customers as well as the organization. You will support internal stakeholders’ efforts to continuously improve transport and logistics operations, leading the team of BU-focused customer service specialists. You will also oversee and manage all transport planning activities within the TMC, including general cargo as well as out-of-gauge and project business. Your decisions will impact cost and service on a constant basis with minimal review and require a broad range of knowledge of preferred lanes, rates, and equipment availability.

Compiti

In this role your main accountabilities will be: monitor and respond to incoming inquiries from internal customers, analyze internal and external customer and organizational performance and delivery reporting and metrics; audit files/reports for accuracy and to ensure closure to all assigned issues daily; maintain good customer relationships, understanding multi-channel customer communication to prevent delay.

You will also provide input to establish processes documented in standard operating procedures (SOP) for internal customer accounts and monitor and update internal customer-specific master data in Transport Management System; conduct root cause analysis and derive corrective actions; optimize ABB transports, considering cost, service and other planning parameters.

Since you will interact with Customer Service for optimum load selection to prevent any potential issues affecting pickup and/or delivery, you will maintain communication with transport service providers to place transport orders, receive confirmation or monitor important milestones, planning and optimizing multi-leg and multi-segment shipments if necessary.

Requisiti

You have a Bachelor or Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics Management or Transportations. At least three years in similar role is required. You have an excellent knowledge of general administrative /office and logistics procedures and of job specific processes to successfully execute and complete the more progressive/complex duties of the job.

You have good quality sales and customer service skills, necessary to obtain business and maintain relationships with customers, and you have a working knowledge of the key functionalities of Transport Management Systems (TMS).

Advanced MS Office skills including MS Word, MS Excel, MS Power Point and Outlook is required. APICS, ISM, or other supply chain certifications are considered as a plus. Previous experience in working with advanced TMS platforms such as Oracle TM, JDA TMS, INET, etc. is preferred. We are looking for a person with a strong personal leadership and aability to perform multiple tasks at one time, problem solving, customer centric service attitude, result orientation, strong communication and issue resolution skills complete the profile. The good knowledge of English is mandatory.
