CU Beam Test VRVS - 5/2/006
Status of activities at INFN
•
Hardware procurement
– CU modules delivery from SLAC to INFN (almost) complete
• CAL FM109, FM101, TKRFM8, 2 ACD tiles+cables+FREE board
– 3 more ACD tiles to come soon
•
– MGSE/EGSE from SLAC complete
– 1x4 GRID at INFN
• measurements ok after rework on legs
– CAL integration MGSE in INFN clean-room
• Proof-test tomorrow
– Mass simulators for 1x4 rotation stand proof test being fabricated
DAQ
– Ancillary Detectors (AD) binary data format agreed and released
for merging code
– INFN-Bari provided a full clone (!) of the AD DAQ to INFN-Pisa
• readout of available Si SSD from Trieste in progress
• test synchronization with available 1x1 tower
• INFN-Bari will keep development
• working on event time-stamp generation adding a scaler in the
AD DAQ latched by the CU clock

• Full calibrations in collaboration with Bordeaux (Dave, Fred)
– Will be repeated after completed integration
– ACD preliminary test
• Input from Alex to handle tiles and do proper connections
• Input from SLAC for test scripts
– 1x4 rotation stand assembly and proof- test
• Loading 125% weight with new mass simulators
– CU integration start
