GLAST LAT Project IA meeting Aug 6, 2004 Announcements • Second Instrument Workshop Analysis Meeting @ SLAC: – Sep 27, 1 day before the Collaboration Meeting – Working on the agenda next week with Steve and Bill – If you had an assignment from Workshop 1 or has already presented something here, there is high probability you get invited for a talk… – Do not forget to book your room in the SLAC guest house… • Actions Items – Posted weekly at the end of the Agenda on the Meetings page – Feel free to read it and bug us if we drop the ball… E. do Couto e Silva 1/2 GLAST LAT Project • SAS news… IA meeting Aug 6, 2004 Merit Ntuple, SVAC analysis file – Proposal to implement TEM and GEM contributions (see talks today) – SAS suggests that requests for updating descriptions of variables in the Merit ntuple to be done via JIRA – If you do not know how to use JIRA contact Johann [email protected] • JIRA for SVAC – Johann will also kind to create a page for us to help us keep track of requests from the Instrument Analysis Group • System tests/E2E – We are working with Julie to implement KS tests for E2E distributions ( if you forget what E2E means see links from Meeting 1) – Anders for implementation of scripts – Warren for pipeline implementation E. do Couto e Silva 2/2 GLAST LAT Project IA meeting Aug 6, 2004 Engineering Model 2 Tests at SLAC • EM2 activities: – What is the EM2? – – – – Full CAL (the same number of crystals as for the flight module) 4xy Si planes (some number of bad channels though…) 2 ACD tiles GASU (means we have the Global LAT trigger to test: great !) – Scheduled data taking for Aug 18 (if all goes as planned) – Need from SAS – LDF2digi with TEM and GEM contributions debugged (the sooner the better) – Would like SAS to implement new CAL geometry LAT-TD-04479-01 (Thanks Mark !) in em release. Can you please verify with CAL what can be implemented (the usual pain vs gain trade-off..) – An SAS em release version with a set of system tests histograms as reference – Why do we care about EM2? – We can check implementation of TEM and GEM with real data since we have GASU (see talks today) – Try to exercise some E2E tests and use real data to develop distributions for LAT data analysis effort – Debug our muon telescope with Trigger group (now on board) and make sure our infrastructure provide sufficient support for their analysis – Any idea you may have, email it to me and we can see how it can be implemented E. do Couto e Silva 3/2
