Accomplishments for May 2007
•
Night Sky Network “Extreme Universe” toolkit for amateur astronomers –
being developed in partnership with Astronomical Society of the Pacific
– ASP folks came to SSU and we reviewed their draft activities. Extensive
comments were provided. These activities look good, for the most part, and are
now in alpha test at other locations.

GLAST MySpace site and blog – now 181 friends! Kamal Prasad is taking
over maintenance of this page: http://myspace.com/glast
Black Hole planetarium show:
– Special event happened on May 19 – goal was to take data on what people have
learned from the show. This did not happen due to technical problems. We
expect them to take the data in June and send it to us. A questionnaire was
developed based on the misconceptions that teacher usually have in our
workshops. This completes our subcontract with Chabot.

Amendment 28 and 29 are now received at SSU. Thanks! This funds us
through FY07. We are putting the funds into budget categories, so next
month I should know where we stand. However, we would like to make sure
we can get a no-cost extension through 12/31/07 at least, to cover launch in
case the FY08 funds don’t show up in time.
