Character
Linda: Good Earth’s referee.
David: He approves of partnering with clients
and his company responsible for marketing
the line, as well as advertising campaigns for
the products.
Character
Betty: She will meet with Linda cannon from
Good Earth at one, and she is responsible for
negotiating with clients, she is the person
who makes decision.
Grant: He prefers to keep the traditional role
as simply an advertiser.
Hansen: He supports David’s thoughts. (支持
David
<Scene 1>
This is an advertising agency, and they argued
whether to cooperate the company which sold
organic food , olive oil and honey.
Grant considers that if no one buys the product, it
can’t make money, and it seems like a roll of the
dice.
Grant
But Hansen and David think that markets
are reducing what they spend on
advertising by cutting budget.
That means their profit will be reduce.
<Scene 2>
Grant who don’t approve of partnering tries to
understand Betty’s thought at lunch.
Instead, David who supports to partner is also wants
to convince Betty.
But Betty refuses discussing the topic with both of
them.
<Scene 3>
• (Grant, Betty, David, Hansen, and Linda in a meeting)
Linda: Well, the idea of partnering with your firm was
David’s, actually.
Grant: You don’t say.
David: I was of two minds at first, but Linda’s story
sparked an idea.
Linda: Olive oil and honey have been bottled at our
estates since the 16th century. I agreed with him
it was time to branch out.
Betty: And you’re looking to sell a 500-milliliter
bottle of olive oil at Harrods for US$33 and a
350-gram bottle of honey for US$11.
Grant: That’s not a very sweet deal on honey. Care to
share your input on that, David?
David,
David: The premium prices are a reflection of their
imported, organic origins. Not to mention the
long history of the Cannon name.
Cannon
Hansen: So, we’re basically treating these as luxury
items. Would that be a fair assessment?
Linda: It would. Organic foods are a great luxury.
Betty: Now if we agree, our firm would receive 7.5
percent of the revenue from European sales…
Grant: …and ten percent from those in the United
States.
Linda: And your getting involved directly lends greater
credibility to the product, translating into more
sales.
David: It’s really putting your money where your
mouth is.(不能光說不練)
Betty: Well, it’s a bold and unique idea, Linda, David.
You can rest assured you’ll have a good partner in
us.
Linda: It will be a pleasure to work with you all. Thank
you so much.
